Welcome to TroubleAtlas (troubleatlas.com), "the world's map of technical solutions" — an open technical encyclopedia of faults, error codes and repair guidance for vehicles and other technical fields. TroubleAtlas is operated by Custode Living S.S., VAT No. 01446800326 ("TroubleAtlas", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the site you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What TroubleAtlas provides

TroubleAtlas publishes technical reference information — including diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), symptoms, likely causes, repair procedures, fluid and maintenance specifications, torque and labour-time data, recalls/TSB references, tyre data and product comparisons. This information is aggregated and processed from multiple public and third-party sources. Our core technical pages are open and free to access.

2. Informational purpose — no professional advice

All content is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, mechanical, safety, legal or financial advice. Vehicle and technical repairs carry inherent risks and may be subject to local regulations. Always consult a qualified, certified professional before carrying out any repair, and follow the manufacturer's official documentation. You rely on the information at your own risk.

The content is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, TroubleAtlas makes no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose of any information, data, specification or product listing on the site, which may contain errors, omissions or out-of-date values.

Where TroubleAtlas publishes tests, rankings or quality assessments, our editorial judgement is independent and is not for sale. Commercial relationships (including affiliate and advertising partnerships and professional subscriptions) do not influence technical assessments or rankings.

6. Professional services and subscriptions

TroubleAtlas offers optional paid services to professionals (which may include local visibility/listing features, communication and management tools, and similar services). These services are governed by these Terms together with any specific service terms presented at sign-up. Subscription fees, billing cycle, renewal and cancellation conditions are those shown at the time of purchase. Paid professional services concern service features and do not gate access to the open technical data described in Section 1.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the site for any unlawful purpose; (b) scrape, harvest or bulk-copy content or data except as expressly permitted; (c) reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from substantial portions of the content without our written permission; (d) interfere with the operation or security of the site, or attempt unauthorised access; or (e) misrepresent your affiliation with TroubleAtlas. Reasonable personal use, quotation with attribution, and standard search-engine indexing are permitted.

8. Intellectual property

The site design, original text, compilation, trademarks and logos are the property of Custode Living S.S. or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Third-party trademarks, vehicle makes and model names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only; their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

9. Third-party sites

The site links to third-party websites (including merchants and affiliate networks). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, practices or privacy policies. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TroubleAtlas and Custode Living S.S. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the content, from any repair carried out, or from any purchase made through links on the site. These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy and the European Union. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
